New Features Heading

Children’s Corner kiddies fun park has had a thorough wash-and-brush-up over the winter and all the rides have been renovated, serviced and freshly painted.

We hope you love the new seaside-look kiosks which have been made-over with a really appropriate beach hut look.

No trip to the coast is complete without calling at the fairground stalls – test your hand with the hook-a-duck – it’s always a favourite!

Cleveleys Cat Heading

Keep your eyes peeled for our new mascot! Cleveleys Cat will be making appearances at Children’s Corner and in Cleveleys town centre. Ask him nicely and he’ll have his photo taken with you too – you could even post it on our Facebook page!

Children’s Corner Through the YearsChildren’s Corner starts 2014 under new management, with new owners who live locally and are looking forward to making lots of exciting improvements in the next few years to return the site to its former glory.

Children's Corner first opened on 2 April 1961 and settled in its new home just 30 metres north of the original site when the sea defences at Cleveleys were rebuilt and the seafront remodelled in 2008.

Where the open Plaza and performance area is now was once a staged area where shows were held in the summer, including ‘The Follies’. The council had been losing money running the shows and Albert Mason Snr agreed to install children's rides on it, starting with the 'Monte Carlo Rally'. The consent was granted on 27 Jan 1961 and rides opened later that year.

Generations of children have formed their own memories on different rides in the kiddies fun park – and that carries on today!
